Hot Rocks Sauna
Terms & Conditions
By booking or using our sauna, plunge pools, or attending an event with Hot Rocks Sauna, you agree to everything below. This agreement is legally binding and designed to keep everyone safe and informed.
1. Age Restrictions
The sauna is strictly for guests aged 16 and over.
No under-16s are permitted in any sauna session, including private bookings.
2. Health & Safety
Customers must not use the sauna or cold water plunge pools if they have medical conditions such as:
Cardiovascular issues, respiratory conditions, or severe hypertension.
Pregnancy.
Any condition that may be aggravated by high heat or cold exposure.
Customers must ensure they are medically fit to participate.
Use of the sauna and ice bath is at your own risk.
3. Personal Responsibility & Liability
Customers must follow all safety instructions provided by staff.
Hot Rocks Sauna does not accept liability for personal injuries unless caused by negligence.
Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to the staff before use.
4. Code of Conduct
Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.
Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry.
5. Booking Terms & Cancellation
All bookings at Hot Rocks Sauna are non-refundable, except where cancelled within the permitted notice period.
Cancellations: Must be made at least 12 hours before your scheduled session.
Booking changes: Must be made at least 12 hours before your session.
Please note that failure to attend a booked session, or any cancellation or change made outside of these timeframes, will result in the full booking fee being forfeited.
Late arrivals will result in a shortened session without compensation.
6. Sauna Rules and Regulations
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at Hot Rocks Sauna, all patrons must adhere to the following rules:
Personal Safety: All jewellery must be removed, and swimsuits with metal components, slimming panels, or items that may cause burns are prohibited. Metal cans and glass water bottles are not permitted in the sauna. Do not touch the sauna stones or the sauna itself at any time as they are extremely hot and can cause severe burns.
Towel Requirement: You are required to bring a clean, cotton towel to sit on in the sauna. Failure to bring a towel will result in denial of entry to the sauna.
Slip Hazard: Exercise caution when entering or exiting the sauna, plunge pools and surrounding areas, as they may be wet and slippery. Move carefully within the sauna, as the benches and floors may also be wet and slippery. Dress Code: Appropriate attire includes swimsuits, swimming togs, or bikinis. Clothing must be free from metal components and suitable for sauna use.
Phone-Free Zone: Our saunas are designated as a phone-free zone to foster relaxation. Mobile phones and cameras must be kept outside the sauna area.
Water/Steam Pour on Sauna Stones: You may only pour one small spoonful of water on the sauna stones every 10-15 minutes. Over-pouring can reduce the sauna’s temperature and adversely affect other users’ experience. Adding oils to the sauna water is strictly prohibited. Do not attempt to touch the stones or the sauna itself. For any issues, contact a staff member immediately.
No Eating or Alcohol: The Hot Rocks Sauna is an alcohol-free facility. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. Food is also banned from within the sauna. Consumption of food or beverages in the sauna is not permitted.
Body Care: Do not use creams or lotions in the sauna. These can create slippery conditions, clog pores, and result in a slip hazard. Protect your hair with a towel or turban. Sauna whisks are also not permitted.
Cooling Down & Hydration: After leaving the sauna, cool down gradually with cooler air or a cold shower. To prevent dehydration, drink water and take electrolytes.
Temperature & Duration: Limit sauna sessions to 15-20 minutes. Always listen to your body and exit the sauna immediately if you experience dizziness, nausea, or light-headedness.
Age Restriction: All sauna sessions are strictly for individuals aged 16 and over.
Supervision: Children must be accompanied and continuously supervised by an adult at all times while on the premises. The adult supervising the child is fully responsible for ensuring that the child adheres to all rules and safety guidelines. Hot Rocks Sauna does not accept liability for any incidents, injuries, or damages. Children are not permitted to enter the Sauna or Plunge Pools.
Fire Safety: Hanging clothes to dry inside the sauna is prohibited due to fire risk.
Post-Sauna Rest: Allow yourself at least 15 minutes to rest in a cool place after your sauna session to aid recovery. This is particularly important before driving.
Respect and Courtesy: Be considerate of other patrons’ personal space and avoid crowding. Keep noise levels to a minimum to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone.
Time Management: Adhere to your allocated time slot.
Right of Refusal: Hot Rocks Sauna reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from the premises at its sole discretion.
7. Assumption of Risk and Liability
By using Hot Rocks Sauna, you agree to the following:
Acknowledgement of Risks: You acknowledge and accept that sauna use, plunge pool use, and activities on the premises involve inherent risks, including but not limited to burns, dehydration, dizziness, overheating, slipping hazards, and drowning risks in the plunge pools. You assume all risks related to sauna use, plunge pool use, and activities on the premises.
Health Representation: You represent and warrant that you are in good health and do not have conditions contraindicated for sauna or plunge pool use. You understand the necessity of consulting a healthcare professional if you are unsure about the impact of these facilities on your health.
Release of Liability: You release and discharge Hot Rocks Sauna, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliated parties from any and all liability for any injuries, health issues, or damages arising from sauna use, plunge pool use, or incidents occurring on the premises or during collaboration events.
Waiver of Claims: You agree to waive any claims against Hot Rocks Sauna for injuries or damages resulting from sauna use, plunge pool use, or incidents occurring on the premises or during collaboration events.
Compliance: You agree to comply with all posted rules and regulations. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the facility.
Assumption of Risk: You voluntarily assume all risks associated with sauna use, plunge pool use, and activities on the premises and surrounds, including drowning risks in the plunge pools, and agree to follow all safety guidelines.
Supervision of Children: Children must be accompanied and continuously supervised by an adult while on the premises. The adult must ensure that the child adheres to all safety rules. Children are not allowed in public sauna sessions and must be supervised during private bookings.
Allergies and Cleaning Products: You acknowledge that cleaning products and chemicals used in Hot Rocks Sauna, including but not limited to chlorine and bromine in the plunge pools, may cause allergic reactions or sensitivities. Hot Rocks Sauna is not responsible for any adverse effects resulting from exposure to these substances. You agree to assume all risks related to allergies and sensitivities to cleaning products and chemicals.
Use of Steps: You acknowledge that using the steps to and from our mobile saunas and plunge pools involves inherent risks. Exercise caution while using these steps, as they may be slippery or unstable. Hot Rocks Sauna is not liable for any injuries or accidents resulting from the use of these steps. You undertake all risks associated with their use. Always wear non-slip footwear when entering or exiting, as the timber surfaces can become slippery when wet.
Appropriate Footwear: You are required to wear appropriate, non-slip footwear while moving around the sauna area and using the plunge pools. Flip flops or other footwear that may become slippery when wet are not recommended and could pose a slip hazard. The Hot Rocks Sauna is not responsible for any injuries resulting from inadequate footwear.
Payment for Damages: You agree to be responsible for any damages caused by you to Hot Rocks Sauna’s property or that of its related parties.
Insurance: You are responsible for any medical costs related to sauna or plunge pool use and are encouraged to undergo a medical examination prior to use.
Jurisdiction: This waiver and all associated terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Release, Waiver, and Indemnity: You, along with your heirs and assigns, release Hot Rocks Sauna and its related parties from all claims related to sauna or plunge pool use, and other activities on the premises and surrounds. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hot Rocks Sauna against any claims arising from your actions.
Severability: Should any provision of these terms be found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
Merger: This document constitutes the entire agreement between you and Hot Rocks Sauna regarding sauna and plunge pool use and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.
Automatic Agreement: Entry into the sauna or plunge pool constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions, including the waiver of liability, even if a signed waiver is not obtained.
By making an appointment and using the sauna or plunge pool, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms, including the waiver of legal rights.
8. Events/Off-Site Events (Yoga, Meditation & Wellness Activities)
Participation at Your Own Risk
Participation in events organised, hosted, or promoted by Hot Rocks Sauna, including but not limited to yoga, meditation, breathwork, and other wellness activities, is entirely at your own risk. These activities may involve physical, mental, or emotional exertion and may be held outdoors in natural environments.
Health & Medical Advice
It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit and well enough to take part. We strongly recommend consulting a healthcare professional before participating, especially if you have any existing medical conditions.
Release of Liability
By attending an off-site event, you agree to release and waive all liability from Hot Rocks Sauna, its staff, facilitators, and third-party collaborators for any injuries, illnesses, accidents, or losses incurred, even if caused by negligence , to the maximum extent allowed by Irish law.
Third-Party Facilitators & Venues
Some events are delivered by independent facilitators or take place at external venues. Hot Rocks Sauna accepts no responsibility for the actions, facilities, or equipment of third-party providers.
Outdoor & Natural Terrain Warning
Events may occur on beaches, grassy areas, or uneven ground. By attending, you accept the risk of slips, falls, or exposure to weather. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and bring items like mats or blankets as advised.
Media & Photography
Photos or videos may be taken during events for promotional use. If you do not wish to appear in any media, please let us know in writing before the event.
Insurance
Hot Rocks Sauna does not provide personal accident or medical insurance for off-site events. You are responsible for your own coverage if required.
9. Privacy Policy:
Our site is hosted by a website provider, which provides our online e-commerce platform. Your data is stored securely on their servers, and payment information is handled by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS standards. We use cookies and tracking tools for site analytics and will only contact you via email if you opt-in or regarding your order. For more information, refer to our provider and Stripe’s privacy policies.
10. Additional Legal Protections & General Terms
Footwear & Slippery Surfaces
You are required to wear secure, non-slip footwear while moving around Hot Rocks Sauna’s facilities. Flip flops or smooth-soled footwear may increase the risk of slipping and are not recommended. Extra caution must be used when walking on natural surfaces, wet decks, or sauna steps. Hot Rocks Sauna is not liable for injuries resulting from inappropriate footwear or failure to exercise due care.
Force Majeure (Unexpected Events)
Hot Rocks Sauna is not liable for cancellations, disruptions, or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, technical failures, staff illness, government restrictions, or public health emergencies.
Mobile Sauna Locations & Terrain
Our sauna operates from outdoor, natural, or mobile setups which may include uneven ground, steep access, or wet/sandy environments. Participants accept all risks associated with entering and exiting these temporary locations and using the facilities within them. We are not liable for incidents arising from environmental conditions or terrain.
Emergencies & First Aid
In the event of a medical emergency, Hot Rocks Sauna reserves the right to contact emergency services if required. We do not guarantee that trained medical or first aid personnel will be present during any session or event. Any basic aid administered is done so in good faith and without liability.
Communicable Diseases (including but not limited to COVID-19)
You must not attend a sauna session, plunge pool, or event if you are ill or showing symptoms of any contagious condition (including but not limited to COVID-19). By attending, you acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to illness in a shared space and release Hot Rocks Sauna from any liability related to infection or transmission.
Group Bookings & Responsibility
The person who makes a group booking agrees to ensure that all members of their group have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions. The lead booker assumes responsibility for all participants under their booking and their adherence to all safety and conduct policies.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
